FIRAS CONSULTS LTD conducted a training program titled OPERATION & MANAGEMENT OF MICROFINANCE BANKS IN NIGERIA for officers and Head of Departments of Ilorin Microfinance Bank Ltd on 28th and 29th March 2009.
  PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
 

 At the conclusion of the program, participants should be able to:

 1. Familiarise themselves with the regulatory and supervisory framework and operating guidelines on microfinance banks in Nigeria;
 2. Understand the nature and mode of operation of microfinance banks with a view to develop appropriate strategies for effective performance;
 3. Equip the participants with the knowledge, skills and procedures required for investing in government securities and other financial instruments for optimum returns;
 4. Examine different marketing strategies and debt-recovery methods that could be employed by micro-finance banks  for improved performance;
 5. Identify internal control issues that could impair performance of microfinance bank operation and suggest necessary mitigating factors for containing them.
